About Animal Medical Care
Animal Medical Care was founded in 1967 by Dr. John Sundstrom, a longtime mentor to both Dr. Funk and Dr. Potter. Although all 3 of these DVMs have since retired, their vision of AMC as a client-focused business that also gives back to the Gainesville and surrounding counties is alive and well.

A diagnosis can only be made after a thorough physical exam by a veterinarian. Animal Medical Care cannot legally or safely prescribe medication without first examining your pet.
Animal Medical Care advises annual wellness exams since they are crucial for your pet's long-term health. They allow us to establish a baseline for your pet's health, monitor for early signs of disease, and keep their vaccinations and parasite prevention up to date.
